AL-KO Lock AK161 / AK270 Kit (CBALKL01)

Protect caravans and braked trailers against opportunistic theft and unauthorized towing with the AL-KO Lock AK161 / AK270 Kit, distributed by Burquip. Engineered specifically as a tailored cylinder lock assembly for AL-KO’s AK161 and AK270 ball couplings, this integrated security unit inserts directly into the coupler handle mechanism, preventing the release lever from being actuated when parked or hitched.

Key Features & Benefits:

  • Dedicated AL-KO Coupler Fitment: Tailored specifically for AL-KO AK161 (up to 1,600 kg) and AK270 (up to 2,700 kg) coupling heads, providing a precise, rattle-free fit without requiring aftermarket brackets.

  • Effective Anti-Theft Immobilisation: Physically blocks the coupling mechanism to prevent unlawful hitching onto an unauthorized vehicle when parked, as well as unauthorized decoupling while in transit or parked at rest stops.

  • Integrated Handle Installation: Mounts flush inside the existing aperture of the cast coupler handle, maintaining a streamlined profile that does not interfere with overrun brake shafts, safety cables, or jockey wheel operations.

  • Weather & Corrosion Protection: Incorporates a protective hard-plastic face/cap treatment to shield the lock cylinder and keyway against grit, road wash, moisture, and road salt.

  • Key-Operated Security Cylinder: Precision tumbler lock mechanism supplied with duplicate keys for secure, straightforward fleet or personal use.
